Download Autonomous only from this official Octamundi page. The Windows package is distributed as a ZIP so you can inspect its contents and verification information before running the installer.

What the installer does

  • Installs a private official Node.js 22 runtime and validates the Node.js checksum.
  • Uses Python 3 when needed and verifies the official Python installer signature when it installs Python itself.
  • Installs autonomousmcp@latest into the current user's LocalAppData directory.
  • Creates the autonomous command, Start Menu shortcut and Desktop shortcut.
  • Verifies the installed tools and then opens Autonomous so secure browser pairing can begin.

Verify before running

After downloading the ZIP, Windows PowerShell can verify the archive with:

After extracting the ZIP, the included checksum file lets you verify Autonomous-Windows.exe before opening it.

Security and reputation notice

Autonomous controls only a computer that the user explicitly installs and pairs. The local client connects outward to the Autonomous service; the user's computer does not need a public inbound port.

The current Windows build publishes cryptographic checksums while Authenticode signing is being prepared. Windows or browser reputation systems may therefore show an additional warning on a new release. Verify the checksum and download only from this page.
